Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cleveland, Georgia is located in Habersham County, Georgia on Amy’s Creek road. Amy’s Creek road joins state road 17 between Clarkesville and Helen. The church is a short distance down Amy’s Creek road. It is a small simple white country church on a hillside facing mountains to the north. The church and cemetery were well maintained. Gabriel Sisk, Sr. was among the early founders and preachers of this church. Early Sisk graves were marked with field stone and exact locations are now unknown. One crypt built above the ground with rocks had a grave marker inscribed, “In memory of Mary Ann daughter of Gabriel and Lucinda Sisk born 6 Dec. 1846; died 25 Oct. 1858; age 11 yrs. 10 mts. 20 days." Amy’s Creek is a stream rising on Alec Mountain and emptying into the Chattahoochee River.
